10K Yellow Gold,Sterling Silver and Rose-Cut Diamond Victorian Brooch/Pin
I do love these old Victorian pieces! Sterling silver was often combined with yellow gold to provide a white rather than yellow setting for any diamonds in the piece. This bar pin features a flower set with 9 rose-cut diamonds flanked on either side by two millegrained leaves each set with 3 rose-cuts. The diamonds catch the light and provide a gentle sparkle, as opposed to the flashy brilliance of modern cuts. A very romantic piece. There is some wear to the 10K gold consistent with age, but overall this piece is in fabulous condition. Marked 10K on the 'C' clasp. Measures 2" end-to-end and 1/2" at it's widest.
